Grace
A wonderful holiday house, that combines a perfect location, and a beautiful, coastal village.
Grace is our family beach house in Rooi Els. We would like to share her with you all. As you know she is filled with family pics and mementos. Please treat her gently and leave a light footprint. Look forward to seeing you.
"Grace is comfortable, light and bright...
... with a lovely deck upstairs off the living area where you can enjoy a beautiful, expansive sea view and catch glimpses of the enormous waves crashing above the rooftops while you sip champagne and enjoy reading on the couch or cooking on the weber".
says Andre from Gordon's Bay
"Chasing away the smallest shadows from your being and allowing natural joy back in again..."
The big windows and sliding doors off the main living area upstairs and the 2 bedrooms downstairs let in all that bright and beautiful light and fresh seaside air, chasing away the smallest shadows from your being and allowing natural joy back in again.

Rooiels Offers
Do short, easy walks around Rooi Els, especially to the beautiful beach very close by and the cute, well stocked little shop and the very lively pub across the road.
Beach
Take a stroll down to the beach, less than 300m away. The main beach, with its coca-cola water lagoon, is great for bodysurfing while the slipway beach is perfect for a relaxing, gentle dip. Or take a 10-minute drive to pristine Koeel Bay beach, the tidal pools or legendary surf spot at Dappat se Gat.
Hikes
Perched on the edge of the Koegelberg Nature Reserve, Rooi-Els is a perfect base for exploring. Hike up Hangklip in Pringle Bay for 360 degree views then enjoy some fish & chips at Hake Aways, a favourite with locals.
Wildlife
Rooi-Els is blessed with wildlife – baboons, dassies, otters, dolphins, whales and the occasional Cape Leopard. But beware, the baboons are crafty and will take any open window or unlocked car door as an invitation. Or explore the extraordinary sealife in Rooi-Els’ magical rockpools with star fish, anemones and the resident octopus.
Drummond Arms
Every village needs a local pub, and Rooi-Els is no exception. The Drummond Arms makes great pizzas and crunchy fish and chips, and it’s a great spot to watch the rugby with an ice-cold beer.
Gossip Corner
Got a hankering for a cappuccino or freshly-baked croissants? Pop next-door to Gossip Corner. They make beautiful bread and have a great supply of deli treats. A great spot for lunch and dinner too.
Shop
Do you big shop for the weekend before you arrive – once you get here there are no supermarkets, what a pleasure! But if you run out of any supplies you’ll find a surprisingly well-stocked corner café, with everything from flip-flops to salad stuff.
